The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy and Cosmo/Girl.com commissioned a survey of teens and young adults to explore electronic activity. You may find some of the responses surprising, or maybe not!
- 20% of teens overall have sent or posted nude/semi-nude photos.
- 39% of teens have sent or posted sexually suggestive messages, which are more prevalent than images.
- 75% of teens say sexually suggestive content "can have serious negative consequences."
- 25% of teen girls and 33% of teen guys said someone has shared nude/semi-nudes images with them.
- 51% of teen girls and 18% of teen guys say they post sexually suggestive content due to pressure from the opposite sex.
